CroMSIC is a full member of IFMSA(International Federation of Medical Student's Associations) since 1992., and she participates actively with all members of the organization. IFMSA gathers medical students all around the world and it is recognized by international organizations such as WHO, UNICEF, UNESCO, UNAIDS, UNFPA etc.
CroMSIC works by its Local committees on 4 Medical faculties in Croatia:
Local committee Rijeka (LC Rijeka)
Local committee Split (LC Split)
Local committee Osijek (LC Osijek)
Local committee Zagreb (LC Zagreb)
The main purpose of our organization is Medical student exchange. Each year we receive around 100 students (from which almost 50 students are staying on exchange in Zagreb), and the same number of our students go outside on exchange. Besides professional and scientific bilateral student exchange program, for many years we act thru lots of, now traditional, projects such as: Organization of blood donation, World AIDS day, Organ donation promotion, TB day, Drug addiction etc.
There are also specialized exchange programs, workshops and trainings on international level (Ruwanda Village Project, TB summer school, SCORA Exchange, Sexperssion 2005) We organize Project management workshops in cooperation with the Institute for Development of Education. |
