When the Asian Pacific American Medical Students Association (APAMSA) was founded in 1995, the first organizing body representing Asian Pacific American (APA) medical students was formed and the national voice of the APA medical students was born.

In our twelve years of existence, we have taken huge strides to advance our mission to promote the health and well-being of the Asian Pacific American community. Just a few of our collective accomplishments include the registering of thousands of bone marrow donors, organizing thousands of community health fairs, screening and immunizing against Hepatitis B, hosting 12 national conferences and numerous regional conferences, and serving as a national forum for discussion, activism, and change.

This year we are excited to continue to build upon our previous successes and focus our efforts on improving our programs to address major issues in APA health.
